This past Saturday, seasoned National Political Campaign Director Dan Lucas shared some of his experiences with the College Democrats. Lucas has been a political advisor to presidential candidates, members of Congress, labor unions, and progressive organizations for almost 30 years. He enlightened the group on such key campaign concepts as the importance of resources, strategy, research, and having a good field plan. Dan Lucas visit helped the Dems to prepare for the upcoming trip to Northern Virginia this Sunday to campaign on behalf of state legislative candidates. Hopefully, Dan Lucas training will help us to seize more votes for the Democrats in Virginia! Alex Miller | |

Bill Richardson was greeting with throngs of supporters and applause in Georgetowns Gaston hall as he laid out his plan for removing US troops from Iraq. As part of this Richardson sighted the failure of the Bush regime in making effective policy towards Iraq in strengthening Al-Qaeda and other terrorists groups. In addition to pulling our combat and support troops out of Iraq Richardson stated that he would pass bills expanding our military by 50,000 troops once in office. These troops, he claimed, would allow the US military to handle the stress of adopting new, real world tactics for changing wars and battlefields. A.D. Dunn |
